HFFF School?
Alright, check this out. For the sake of privacy rights, no person will be directly named, nor any guild.
I want feedback on starting a school, nothing more, thanks.
The backround:
Listen, I've been HFFFing (For those of you who don't know, Hero Fast Faction Farming. Fastest way to max the Kurzick title, so I believe.)
Anyway, I've been Farming Kurzick Faction for a little over a month and a half, since January 15th. I taught myself using the PvX wiki guide. Now, for about 5 ranks (0-5) I thought I was the slowest person farming faction, I never saw the same two people. I didn't want to take any 'leechers' (Also known as people who tag along, usually paying, trying to get survivor/more faction) because I felt like I was the slowest person there, I felt that I would be cheating them. So I ran some guildmates from, for the sake of it, Guild [X]. This one particular person said that I was fast. I always heard that under one minute was considered 'pro'. Now, rank 10 (rank 11 tomorrow) I've concluded that I -am- faster than everyone else, with one person equally as fast as I am. (Please don't flame me for this assumption). This is concluded from 'leechers' that I've run, and by observing others in Lutgardis (The HFFF hotspot). Only one person, out of hundreds of runners I've seen.
The Grief:
Now, what I want to know is: Why is everyone else -so slow-? There has to be a reason why. Are they failing frequently? Do they not know how to HFFF? If I've taught myself how to HFFF, why can't these people (some people) who get others to teach them run as fast as me? What are they doing different from me? It disgusts me to see people running for the 'standard' of 100g per person per run, but these people are much slower than me, and I charge the exact same price. Are these people unknowingly 'scamming' others (using the term lightly).
The Proposition:
I've been thinking about this for some time, and its about opening an HFFF school, to teach others how to -properly- farm Kurzick faction. By properly, I mean with few errors, and under 1 minute every time. I'm looking for some input from you, the reader.
What would you pay, if anything, to learn the common sense 'secrets' to improving your HFFF time? Tips? Free? What would you expect from the school? Do you want Big classes? 1 on 1 conversations? Different 'Packages' to fit your needs: Package A, B, C. Package A might give you the complete introduction, where to flag, when to flag, -everything-. Package B might be specialized, tending to the Individual's/Class' needs. Package C might be for veterans, looking to run HFFF faster.
Conclusion:
Please, I'm not asking for a flame war. I will not give out my personal information, I'm not trying to advertise myself (Though, I think my character name is right under my name..) I don't want your claims of the fastest runner, your times (HFFF speeds are subjective to the person timing). I'm pretty serious about doing this, and the more feedback I can get, the better.
For a short HFFF summary, it is a great way to make money, if you work -extremely- hard ~140k a day. Thats in about 200k -donated- faction (Counts 400k towards title), and 1 million exp. I'm really eager to read all of your posts tomorrow. Remember, post about the idea of me starting an HFFF school, the rest of the information is backround.
I want feedback on starting a school, nothing more, thanks.

After the second attempt (ever), I started tagging people along, and ever since my 5 th run, people say I was the fastest they ever tagged along with...
People are just nice. Even if you were the fastest, it simply is because you might have a somewhat better build set-up.
The run is easy, it requires no skill, and (By God Anet forbid me for saying this) a bot could do it as fast as any other player any day...
It's basic flagging, your Heroes AUTOMATICLY PICK THE SHORTEST ROUTE. So unless your Heroes are magicly enchanted with special AI that no-one else has, I'm affraid you're just about as good as the 1000 other HFFF'ers...

Lets get this back on topic, I really want feedback on teaching people how to do this. Good idea? Bad Idea?

well, first off i wanna say it's hFF with 2 f's, NOT 3. hero faction farming, hFF. you either suck at it or you don't, otherwise there is no real difference for the extra "F" that's added on to imply "fast". anyways, i've been doing hFF ever since the initial release of nightfall and most likely one of the "founding fathers" of it (i got savior within' 3 1/2 months of NON-grind, might i add ;]). to hFF fast you need 1 huge and gigantic thing, otherwise you WILL be bad at it-- and that is to set you "command: hero X" hotkeys. for me, num pad 1, 2, 3, and 0 are what i use for flagging them. the difference will shave off at MINIMUM of 6-7 seconds, and that's also including if you have very good hand-eye coordination for selecting your flag spots instantly. for me, i can flag all heroes and my 1 hench within 3 seconds flat. yes, THREE second flat. dare to test me? i would be more than willing to show you.
hFF, on your semi-experianced player should take 52-54 seconds each run. that is from zone out to zone in. i have written a tutorial on how to hFF if you're interested, and, along with it i have attached a screen shot of where to flag your heroes accordingly.
also, if people want leech spots they can easily get one for 100g a run (and cheaper). people spam to come and leech all the time and vice versa.
sooo.. in conclusion... make sure you are the type that gets 52-54 second zonein/out runs before you attempt to teach hFF.
but... this is just my 2 cents on the topic and what i think on the matter of hFF. so.. gl and have fun with it. ^^

Lena, you're a tool.
OP: Try it and see if it works. There are always people asking how to do it. If you have the patience, it could work out to be a good money source.

Just hit me: Different mediums. What would you like? A series of screen shots? Ventrilo? Team Speak? Videos? Lets keep up the responses
And less personal attacks, please. (You know who you are)

Its not a good idea or a bad idea, imho. Want to do it? Go for it and have fun. The only problem I see is I doubt you'll get many people to pay for it. It really is not that hard to teach yourself how to do it. Those who cannot are also very likely difficult to teach and exact a charge upon to do so.

So you think the 'school' should be more of a passive teaching, a guide, rather than personal and interactive? More input please

Well, if you have the time to teach everyone one on one, then be my guest! I'd just rather write up a guide with a few pictures (where 2 flag, etc.) with a video (at good resolution!) and be able to shoot over a link to the guide for people who need it.
Btw, about the luxon thing I mentioned....

Three "F"s if you refer to it as Hero Fast Faction Farming, so either works. If people can do an entire run (starting inside Lutgardis to collecting reward) in 52 seconds, that's fast. Personally, my fastest time excluding the zoning portion is 54 seconds. Guess I should call my runs HSFF

Not trying to brag here:
I'll pretty much be done with everything, as max kurzick should get me 30 max titles. So I'll have alot of free time. For luxon farming, try the outpost before the Jade Quarry mission, international districts. Google Luxon FFF, and you might find some info on it.
Lets get this back on topic, please
So a video. What would be a good -free- 'tool' to use? I know of FRAPS, but it only lasts 30 seconds per video.

I don't know if this was said because I only read the first 2 replies. Don't need a school due to the fact there is a texmod. That is school for all the people who don't know where to flag they can get that. Then it takes about 3 runs to learn the timing.

You could use FRAPS and make 3 short videos and merge them in Windows Movie Maker. I used to do that.
